Thanks for comments on the previous piece. Some of the comments, especially Dan(Diemaker) about them getting along. The same thought had struck me when I went to post that image, about maybe the two could get along. A short blurb came to me so, I'll will offer it now. Given what's going on right now on all fronts, I offer this in the spirit of reunification and peace moving forward. As it turns out, the Topaz Dragon was very protective of this beach and cliff area, even though he had access to the uplands where forests meet fields and the Aurochs live. Angus the Fluvialanguis was a water loving dragon and it was mating season for his kind. Once every three years males seek out game filled secure ocean beach and cliff areas to attract a mate. She will give live birth to one or two younglings and for the next eighteen months they will be raised by the parents. Thus needing a lot of food. Angus's kind usually eat mostly large fish and the occasional sea mammal. Normally this would not interfere with the someone like the Topaz Dragon, but this one had developed a taste for fish rather than the bovine aurochs of the uplands. Topaz declared this to Angus and bid him move on because he did not want his supply of fish to be taken away by a whole family. Angus thought this was funny and confessed he had gotten a taste for auroch when some time ago a small herd had wandered to the beaches and came upon nests they had never seen before. They were easy pickens and Angus thought they were delicious. The uplands are too far for Angus' kind to go and they can't be too far from water for too long. Angus suggested a deal and a bit of trade. Angus suggested that Topaz bring him and his family some auroch and they wont eat the fish. Topaz was not pleased with the implication that he had to do all the labor for the deal. He asked to even the deal on labor. Angus thought for a moment and asked if Topaz, being a dragon, could deep dive in the ocean. Topaz confessed he could not. Angus offered to return the favor and bring up to Topaz some of the more exotic fish of the greater deeps. Tuna, grouper. Then Angus asked Topaz, "Have you ever had Calamari?" So after a trial run Topaz got to try Calamari, giant calamari. Thus Angus, after twenty five years, got to taste auroch again. Perhaps needless to say, Angus had his pick of mates that year. It's hard to resist a high cliff nest that's also protected by her mate and another dragon. But the main reason was auroch burgers, smoked and roasted auroch loin and meadowfield turnips for desert. And don't forget the calamari appetizer. So maybe a little cooperation can benefit everyone. Except the auroch, fish and giant squid. And occasional sea mammal. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Some land dragons, every once in a generation, can also dive into the depths of the ocean like it's a second home. They undergo an aquatic transformation, making them a deadly predator of the deep. Time to get some giant squid munchies... 🐉

Looking forward to the James Cameron movie and rock soundtract version, lol. Cool stuff Ado... ;)

.....auroch burgers.... 😆 Why do I now have a mental image of these two fellows sitting (?) at a linen covered table, sipping a fine wine, dining on rare but delicious delicacies, and chatting about the finer points of gourmet food preparation - all while watching Emeril Lagasse on TV? 😄

This is delightful, Art! I do love the concept of teamwork and working together - thanks, Dan! Great and fun scene and story. May 2021 being that spirit of peace and co-operation among us humans...
