...stay off of my blue suede shoes! Well, I've never been an Elvis fan, but this fitted so well (lol) This is Sue, presenting her new Suede Boots - Blue or Black? I think she goes for the Black ones, because they Fit to more clothes than the blue ones and (!!) if she takes the black ones, there are no blue suede shoes to step on (rofl). What? Teasing? Uh, oh! Um, yes, I think she's a little teasing as well ;-) The whole Image is the result of quite a bit of modeling in Hexagon (dang it, the more I work with it, the more I like it's workflow - if it only would crash less often). Yeah, Hexagon isn't all that bad and the direct bridge to DAZStudio is an invaluable thing and this all for free!!!. Well not for me, because although I just recently decided to dive into it, I own it quite a few years (April 2006) and that means, that I was one of those, who paid money for it (same as DAZStudio Pro)!! I found that a lot of Boots available for the Genesis figures are high heeled, platform Boots, or some kind of swashbuckler boots from the medieval. But very rarely there are some modern, simple, flat heeled boots like I often see on womans in the winter nowadays. So I decided that this would be the next to finish (out of my 100 modeling projects - lol). So yes, the Suede Boots where modeled in Hexagon and transferred to DS, where I made a conforming figure out of it with the nifty transfer utility (an awesome piece of Software). They where originally modeled for G3, but just conform them to G8 and DS will do the rest for you (and often not even that bad). Another (smaller) project was the Heart-choker, she's wearing. I once saw this in an image, and I thought, this would look sexy for sure on the DAZ-Ladies too. So since this is just a parented prop, the task wasn't that big once I got acquainted with Hexagon. How ever it always needs adjustment with the turn or bending of the neck, because it immediately intersects with the Genesis figures neck or chest. I could have made a conforming figure out of it, so it would follow all the deformations, but then the heart always get's oddly distorted (meh, not really what I want). Same as the choker was the scrunchie on her wrist. I often get my inspirations out of real life and how often I saw woman wearing their scrunchie on the wrists, if actually not placed in the hair to form a ponytail. It is really satisfying, if you suddenly get the possibility to model all the stuff you ever wanted to use in DS by your self. So out of this perspective I think I made the best I could out of the Corona-Lockdown. Credits: "Sue Character and Hair for Genesis 8 Female" by Goanna @ DAZ3d (though I just used the head morph and the texture which I modified a tiny bit. The body is a completely self dialed morph) "Classic Long Hair with dForce for Genesis 8 Female(s)" by Linday @ DAZ3d "Betty Page Blouse" is actually an old freebie for V4 on the Optitex-home page which I converted for G8 and made it dForce capable. "Shoe Boxes and Store Props" by code66 @ DAZ3d (once a time limited Platinum freebie) Boots, Heat choker and scrunchie as described above by my self =) Render is pure unretouched IRAY Render Thank you for dropping by and a big thank you for all the lovely (and critical but helpful and constructive) comments on my last images. Feel free to do so here as well.

Really lovely work...great character, super work on the detailing of the box, fantastic logo.....!!....loving that....guess my only nitpick....if your looking for feedback is the lighting....or mainly the double shadow....would rather just see one shadow cast than main light source, and secondary, fill light and rim light..... or possible soft box..... anything from 1 to 4 lights......

FurNose 1:45PM | Mon, 25 May 2020

Thanks for your commenting and your Feedback. I actually used a Rimlight from right, A Sidelight from Left and a Butterfly (Front light) from slightly above the Camera. I guess the Rim and the Sidelight are a bit to bright compared to the Butterfly which gives the double shadow... Have to check on this next time 🙂

Your new image is wonderfully done, I wish you a good start into the new week, stay vigilant and healthy!

I promise I won't even touch your blue suede shoes.... or boots.... or the black ones, either.... I'll just sit here and admire your....uh..... form! 😉

I'm most impressed with your skill (and patience) modeling these with Hexagon, my friend! I played around with it a few years ago, and - while I found it rather easy to learn - I called it just about every name other than Hexagon. Seemed like I had to hit 'save' every few seconds or lose everything I'd just done when it crashed because I looked at it the wrong way...

If the spirit ever moves me, I need to sit down with Blender, and go through Blender Guru's donut tutorial... LOL

I was -and still is- an Elvis fan but I always had a question : was is version of BSS the best one ? What about Carl Perkins' ? Anyway, I'd be for the blue suede boots just because they're less discrete !!! and it's time to make ourseleves notocable ! It's a damn good image, bravo. PS : where are those boots sold ????

FurNose 6:25AM | Tue, 26 May 2020

Hahaha! Thanks, Gaius! Nowhere! As I described, since I nowhere found such boots, I made them my self in Hexagon. I'm actually thinking about possibly making some of my stuff available in the Free-Stuff section 😁

Awesome .. the boots are really great, also the choker and the scrunchie, I wish I could do that too. The picture is great. A cool idea to label the shoe box with your name. Sweet, sexy character and great pose.

Fantastic modeling work! I've had Hexagon since it first came out (still owned by Eovia), so it has cost me a fair amount over the years. I haven't used it as much as I should have, but I've always liked how easy it is to model in. It was quite innovative when it came out, it's to bad DAZ didn't keep the developers longer, and really improve on what they started. It could have been one of the best modeling apps, but even so it's still really good.

Anyway, keep up the great work!!!
