Description

The love for animals is something very special for me. Animals could live without people, they don't need our technology and progress. They are independent and find their way around on their own. If we humans would not exist anymore, they would simply go on living. But if the animals were to cease to exist, then humans would perish, because with the animals a whole ecosystem would be destroyed (and in some cases it already is). They endure a lot from us humans and often suffer from our greed for money and power. In many countries they are legally only considered as things and not as sentient beings. They would have many reasons to turn their backs on us humans and avoid us wherever possible. And yet they do not do so. Despite all that we do to them, they offer us their friendship and where people can be wrong and deceive and lie to each other, they have an enormous emotional honesty and are not resentful. That is why it is so easy to love them. And though they don't speak our language, they can sense how we feel and they can communicate with their body language. Unfortunately, many people do not realize that they are an important part of our existence and that we would become emotionally stunted and lonely if they did not exist anymore. Those who do, find a never ending treasure in the Animals. It is time for man to realize that he too is only life, in the midst of other life that also wants live. This is absolutely magnificent! The way the sun is positioned behind the girl's and horse's head gives them both a heavenly glow, and draws the eye right to them. And the little details like the sunlight on the blades of grass... just outstanding.

And you are so right... If the animals are gone, we are as well. I've never liked the term 'dumb' animals. They are far more intelligent than we give them credit for.
