Description

I recently had a conversation with Kaisoona about her last picture "waiting". I noted that I like the slightly protruding cervical vertebrae very much and that they give the whole scene another touch of realism. Now I noticed that neither Genesis 3 nor Genesis 8 has a morph that takes this anatomical fact into account (or I really didn't find it). I found a corresponding morph set for G8F on ShareCG, but it didn't quite show the result I expected. So I decided to create a (very, very) simple morph by myself, which I can add if the figure poses in the right way - like here a curved back. Because of the relatively coarse mesh of these figures and because of missing tools for a HD morph (a long and often discussed topic in the DAZ forums) I can't lift more than single points of the mesh. But the standard subdividing of the net in DAZ Studio makes it not so bad. This rendering is now a test of my morph. This time, however, I had to retouch the finished rendering a bit (contrary to my habits). Genesis 3 and 8 (genesis 8 was used here) show ugly folds under the chest area when the back is bent like this. This would require a correction, which would cause the corresponding wrinkles, anatomically correct in the stomach and not in the chest and ribs. There are also some other strange dents and bumps in such poses, but DAZ must have a reason to sell Genesis 9 and make us buy all the previous stuff (clothes, hair and other addons) again ;-) credits: Genesis 8 females with own morphs Classic Long Hair with dForce for Genesis 8 Female(s) by Linday @ DAZ3D Epic Props: Dynamic Lens Flare & Starburst for Iray by ThePhilosopher @ DAZ3D Thanks for all comments in the past renders - which often triggered interesting discussions. Again, your comments are very welcome. Addendum: I just found, that Zev0 at DAZ has a morph package for each G3F and G8F (and the males as well) called "Shape Shift". Amogst a lot of super cool morphs to fix diverse shortcomings of G3F and G8F there is: Tadaaaaa - a Spine morph, doing exactly the same thing as mine LOL (probably even a little better, but never the less it was fun to do it my self) :-D

Very interesting and great job on the spine. Pity about the lack of morphs because there were some super ones available for Gen 2.

I used some of them in a gallery upload here back in 2016 - 'Do You Mind'

Would be great if somebody with the skills could fill this gap in Gen 8......before she becomes replaced by Gen 9 !!!

Wowie, a super realistic render, Alexander! And it is best seen when zoomed in. Fantastic contrast, amazing details of the fuzzy skin hair as well as the spine details. A must-see!

Fabulous work with the morphs. That is one of those that after someone does it, you say, "Why didn't they think about this before?"

Well, firstly.. That is the nicest spine I've seen all week! Superbly displayed by your lovely young lady..

That would definitely be an interesting challenge, and it appears you've tackled it quite successfully here. The human form has so many intricacies and subtleties, I would imagine it could take a lifetime to introduce all those into a 3D figure - or a budget that would make Peter Jackson get up from his couch and dance... LOL

Superb work, my friend!
