Description
I said this would have "old-school" pickups on it. Couldn't go past a set of P90's. Not ordinary ones either. Retro, but up to date was my personal brief. The switches finish the electronics also. Next up is the roller bridge. Then the strings and tidy up all the finer details.
Thanks for your interest in this project to good people. It's my motivator... :)

The new pickups really improve the visual interest of the instrument. Which is important since we can't actually play it, you know? :) This reminds me a lot of something that one of the Euro guitar-makers of the 1960s might have put together since it's too adventurous a design for the average Gibson or Fender.

Thanks for that my friend. Yes, I am in agreement. I have always been fascinated since a boy with designs of that ere. It opened my mind up as a young artist. People had already done what I was beginning to imagine. I guess that in it's self validated the value of dreaming... and hasn't really subsided. There's a few luthier friends I have in Europe, who like me, can't get enough of what might seem adventurous. As long as they function... Here's my first two guitars I made. The cream one I played and pulled apart again, to make my third guitar :) The other I gave to my church. I strongly believe in sewing the first fruit. The one with the Bigsby was a commission build. Had some sweet Seymour Duncan HB's, ...specially wound.
