Sidhe Rose Graphics (Rayvn) recently posted a couple images based on author Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion series, specifically Elric. This got me going again and I did one in a book cover spirit. Rayvn covered the bases with the backstory and you can visit her gallery here http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=588057 The title on the image is the title from the third book in the Elric series. White wolf was one of his many names given to him by his friends(very few)and enemies(very many) His outfit is part Battle Guardsman from DAZ and Sshodan's cloaks. Character Morph is Sshodan's Elven Lord with significant dial tweaking to the face by me. Hair is Mark hair from DAZ, by Swam and Goldtassel. The sword, Stormbringer, was made with Swordkit from DAZ. It gives you a bunch of blades, crossguards and pommels with a handle Figure, so you can make a lot of unique and original swords. After putting together the basic sword, I imported it to Vue where I used the Text feature to make text objects which were used to 'Inlay' the text into the blade, via a 'boolean difference'(That's VueSpeak). I then colored a copy of the 'text', inlaid into the blade, to red and added the glow effect in the material editor. Monsters are M4 with Rawart Dragalien texture and M4 Creature morphs. Characters posed in Poser then imported to Vue 10.5 Infinite for scene/environment and render. Effects and balance added with Photoshop. The balance is from Ratracer's Alchemist Lab. I rendered a PNG of it to add it in, in Photoshop. Thanks for looking and comments.

Nicely done, Art! I like the scales in the background there - the balance between Chaos and Order. That was a very important part of the stories, too. Your Elric is very feral and scary looking :) I like it! Great job on Stormbringer and the fx, too. The blade I used does have runes in it - I just didn't remember that they glowed red. Thank you!! :D

OK - this is just beyond words, Art! Holy wow - what a fantastic image you've created here! OK - I'm taking notes....."boolean difference...." I suspect it's not unlike a boolean operation in Hex... So much to learn....;-D Anyway, this is an awesome work, and a great dedication to a superb artist and friend! If I ever get time to read again, I'll have to check out those books.

Hmm, I missed this one somehow. I've been looking at Vue again, but just the free one. I am not sure if you can put poser people into it. Their club looks good, though, and I may end up dropping Daz's Plat club and going over to Vue's instead. Love the sword and a good representation of Elric!

Some really scary stuff here! His expression is so suggestive I can almost hear him scream... Great effects! Vashek
