At this time of the year, the herd was driven up a dried up river way. This river way dried up quickly and has not seen a regular flow of water for a few years now. However it has provided an easy roadway to drive the herd to one of the few oases left. Runoff from the mountains still maintains some of the valley lakes and meager wetlands, but they are dwindling year by year. The hot cycle has been lasting longer and hotter every year for over a decade now. After several turns this cycle, to set in, is normal, but this time it seems to have started earlier and is getting more harsh. So the people and animals try to adapt. This pic became a pain in the arse after number of crashes for no apparent reason. I've done images with alot more resources used up than this used. So I stopped here. I wanted a little thicker atmosphere, but this is probably better for an arid scene. Herd animal was a freebie from DAZ. Cool model actually. A few morphs and more than a few skins to choose from. Thanks for taking a peek and any comments.

Now that's something I never thought of - driving herds of dinosaurs. Lol. Hey, why not? Sounds like the weather these days - in some places, anyway. I'm glad you finally got it to render, Art. It sure turned out great! Love the big mountain in the background there!

Oh, that's just too cool, Art! Excellent aerial perspective - this has so much depth! Fantastic work despite the crashes.. Have to wonder what this system is going to do when I start throwing Vue scenes at it... :-D

That's pretty amazing. I think there is a good fade and I don't think you need more atmospherics for a desert scene. Maybe there were more polygons on those critters than you figure because you are right the landscape is not nearly as complex as some of your works.

Another terrific scene my friend. Your art always creates such great imagery in the mind. The scenes always go far beyond where you've stopped, causing some great fantasy to play out in the mind of the viewer. This is excellent and unique.
