Description

Well I'm back. Had a cornea transplant on the other eye and it went great. I'm back to the computer in one week instead of three. Practice I guess. I set up this scene awhile ago in Vue, but with all the atmospheric effects and hi resolution textures on the objects, I knew it would take awhile to render, so I set it to go the day before surgery. For Vue users; I used object and texture anti-aliasing ans both were set to 100% and min and max rays of 8 and 26. Advanced effects were only at 50%. Going higher, doesn't change things much if at all. Upping the anti-aliasing gives more noticeable results. Anyway, total render time was 76 hours! Original size is 2600 wide. The detail drop was noticeable when resizing and converting to a jpeg, but the feel is still there. Some minor PS work for the water foam at the waterwheel. I got lucky too. All the flags on the buildings on the right happen to be going the same direction. All the buildings are from Cornucopia 3D and of course people, props and creatures were set up in poser. I'm out of work for a little while for recovery, so I'm hoping to really get some images and ideas done. Thanks for looking and comments.
