Wicked cool! I'm not familiar with this plant. In Colorado, we have the piñon pine, which yields a great nut for cooking Southwest dishes and for jazzing up some old stand-bys, like pesto and piñon. Yum. They don't look like your photo, though, so that is a new one to me. Again, fantastic textures, my friend.
