That's weird... I thought it was already converted when the background went white? Oh well, just hope it still works like before once it is changed again. :)

Good Luck on the Conversion and thanks for the work.

Looking forward to more organized freebies. Would be nice to do something about those that don't supply images with their freebies too. It's not THAT hard or time consuming to do a small image for what you are offering. I pass those up in any case! Hope it all goes smoothly! :-)

I was wondering when it was going to be switched over.

Lyne ( posted at 12:00AM Wed, 09 August 2006

Well I tried it out today and I must say that it's nice to have all new pop right up as soon as you select the free stuff area, but I don't care for the new complicated search thing and I found that it does not work very well. Best if I just keep up with all new freebies I guess.

seems a lot better but where is the freestuff from Jan2006 to June2006?

sparrownightmare ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 10 August 2006

It's okay but I like the old system better. It was simpler, and easier to read for folks like me with nad eyesight.

I really wish you would stop trying to fix things that aren't broken. I truely do not like the search option. the sort is too limiting of the items. Making it too hard to search through and find what might be there. you have to spend too much time figuring out what paramitors to imput for you search. Before it was much simpler and ou have just unessarily complicated things. I am going to tell you again i cnt stand it.

Hi CrownPrice, Thank you for the feedback. We hear you. We have already alerted the programmers to please enhance the search option. Best regards, LillianH Renderosity Marketing Manager

To be honest i do like the layout and the details button....LOL!

damir_prebeg ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 11 August 2006

That details button is the only thing that is good in this "improvement"

CaptainMarlowe ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 11 August 2006

I agree with crownprince : the search option is too complicated, and does not even seem to work properly. I tried to search items older than 45 days with their exact name and did not find them, except by going to the author homepage... Before, it was possible to browse a pecular category entirely, and, for newcomers, it was possible to find old but useful free stuff just by wandering in the old pages. Now you have to know exactly when an item was released or search the archives month by months ! I don't like to give negative comments, for I like R'osity, but this new free stuff area is anything but simple, especially if you are searching something older than 45 days ago !

I see they changed it to 5000 days now, but it's going to take some getting used to. I liked the old search option better, but it's nice to not have to put days in now. It would be nice to have a feature for rating the freebie, or leaving comments. (Maybe having the freebie offerer allow comments or disallow comments. This way if someone is having a feud or something they don't muck up the comments with a flame war or something.) Maybe just the ratings system and a thanks button. Push the thanks button and it'll add it in like a download count kinda deal. (I'm rambling now.)

yes, that is much better ! Thanks to the staff for taking into account comments !

OOOPS! It is now working, please disregard my earlier remarks. Sorry. It is working fine now.

Glad to hear that you are going to enhance the search options. I tried searching for multiple items today and nothing came up that was useful. I like the way the old search feature work. All you needed was one keyword and it found a whole bunch. Also, on the freebies I have uploaded, there were a couple of things where it said I had not posted an image and that isnt true. They all showed on the old Freebie section. I wish this search was simpler. Hope you can refine it so it isnt so difficult. Thanks
