make a poser 5 forum, for discussing the upcoming release of poser 5. it is getting ridiculous wading through page after page useless poser 5 speculation threads trying to find threads about poser props, textures, current works ect. oonce poser 5 is released remove the separate forum and get back to just the poser forum.

Totally agree with you on that one.

Good idea! People stop helping, because everyone is in this speculation frenzy...

I can't think of anything more relevant to the poser forum than poser - even Poser 5. What next? A separate forum for Mac poser users? A separate forum for problems caused by poser on Win98 (I have XP, why should I have to "wade thru" page after page of poste about lousy exception handling errors in Win9X)? This could get ridiculous really fast. Give it a couple of days, and it'll all die down. A few weeks, and Poser 5 WILL BE Poser, and 4, 3, 2, & 1 will all be lumped together as "legacy" software. I do think it may soon be helpful to add an additional check-box for posting new threads along the lines of: This post relates to which version of Poser? [ ] Poser 1-3 [ ] Poser 4 [ ] Poser 4+ProPak [ ] Poser 5 [ ] All [ ] Not Relevant and make it mandatory that one of the boxes be checked before the post will go thru. (The Not Relevant category could be used for questions relating to Add-in products, utilities, announcements, Etc.) ...Just my 2 cents, opposing opinions expected and encouraged.... Cheers!

...btw, before I'm flamed for implying that P4 will become somehow "second Class" - my meaning of legacy software is from the viewpoint of a tech consultant - You can waste a lot of time trying to advise someone with a problem, when he's not using the same software you think - the check-boxes will put everyone on the same page when it comes to helping each other. ... Also btw, I don't notice any dearth of help being offered in the Poser forum - if anything, with so many more members scanning posts all day, most folks needing help have gotten it even faster than normal.

wouldn't it be nice if you knew a man on the inside...? Yup... it sure would... now if only I cared about poser... still, good to know anyways... BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

No idea what that means.....?

Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing that 'tick the box' as of right now! Can't tell ya how many times I eagerly click on a thread, only to find out it's a question for ProPack. And that wouldn't matter so much if there weren't SO many messages to read each day...... I'm serious about learning Poser and I really use the precious info I glean from this forum. But 'Rosity runs slow and the number of posts can be huge. If I could sort through the chaff (chaff for me, that is) and click on the stuff for Poser 4 at a glance, I'd probably have time *every day to also visit the galleries......yum!
