Well, I am all at sea here, and I don't know if we are supposed to put our entry in this thread, or email it to you, so my first guess is that we enter here. I wasn't around when Sams3D started, so my second guess has to be that the A stands for American. I thought the various clues led to a farm till you threw in the A, which has thrown me completely. Still here goes, my guess is that the series is an AMERICAN FARM (rather a run down one)

Limiting me to one guess, you know, is cruel and unusual punishment... My guess...drum roll please...milking it here...so nervous: The Andy Griffith show. Jezz...I can't believe I said that. Dope-slap me somebody. Thanks Sharen, it was a lot of fun. Q

I knew the last clue would be this truck and I was all ready to guess at Grapes of Wrath, but this "A" clue hmmm.... I guess I will submit American Rural as my answer.
Jackson posted Fri, 12 July 2002 at 8:10 AM
I always thought SAMS3D stood for Sharen And Mike's 3D. But I'm not clear on if we're just guessing the first word or the whole thing. If we're just guessing the first word, my guess is "And."
Little_Dragon posted Fri, 12 July 2002 at 8:42 AM
I'm sure that it'll all make perfect sense to us afterwards.
Starts with an "A", eh?
The Ambiguous Clue series ....
Nah, just kidding.
My guess would be: America's Heartland.

Well I have been researching for an hour now(started long before that first post of mine), even found and old history of you two here on renderosity but nothing helps. :)
So to give my actual guess: American Gothic. :)

Hi all, you all did great, and some pretty good guess's too, and we do have a winner, so lets run through this, the A in SAM'S 3D stands for Andy (our son), Mystery SERIES, Series being the clue word for Television Series, most of the props were made identical to real items we saw on the Show ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW...... and quixote I bet your not embarrassed now....you are the winner of all the models we make for this series. We are calling this series the Andy Griffith Series, starting with the Ford Truck, that those of you who watched the show Gomer Pyle use to drive it, this model is fully poseable, and the glass in the windows even goes up and down. Poser ready, and full texture map included. Congratulations quixote, you will get your first model as soon as you IM me your email address, I will then send it to you as an attachement in the email. This model will be ready officially Sunday on our web site, the link.....of course will be the Andy Griffith Series. Thanks again all for playing, we will have another free model ready for you Sunday, that will go with this series and the next model is almost ready that goes with this series. We may even run another short contest for that one too. gaaaaaaly, we had fun.....LOL Sharen

Hey, the way I originally heard it, was to use sandbags. (It adds weight to the rear end so that the tires don't spin too much. ) A Pink Elephant, eh ? celebrating already ? Hey, you diserve it. Like I say though, just don't operate any heavy machinery for a couple of days afterward. - cheers and thanks to Sharen for a wonderful contest. I just wish I hadn't fallen asleep so I could have participated.

Not bad for a French Canadian, I guess. Whasn't that Ron Howard's first role? Forget what he was called. Barney Phiffe was another character. And that must be the only show in history that had somebody whistle the theme song. God I'm old...

Little_Dragon posted Fri, 12 July 2002 at 4:30 PM
I'm older. The theme song to Lassie was also whistled.
Well done, quixote.
My first guess would have been American Gothic, but my list of collaborating evidence was starting to resemble an Oliver Stone conspiracy theory:
A short-lived CBS television series directed and produced by mystery author Clyde Phillips
The most famous painting by artist Grant Wood has a distinct pitchfork theme
And so on ....
