Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Nov 13 10:25 pm)
I was planning to cut the claw into a hand and fingers, then replace the hand and three of the fingers, and redo the joint parameters the "adding extra body parts" question was more about how I can attach the tail. I've decided to have the tail as an extra figure so it can be removed, but I'd still like to know for future reference =) SewerRat
your play lizard? yeah, that's the way I'd prefer to do it actually but I don't want to give out a hundred seperate figures all parented together Would it be possible to use the same method, but with "posable props" for the hands and tail? I was reading somewhere about renaming a figure and moving it to another directory and it acts like a prop? SewerRat
Here is a lizard man figure I have almost done- just fixing the JP's. problem is that dispite how it looks there is not a single original vertex in it. I made it using the poser4 man, the Zygote gemlin (for the hands) teh Zygote DRagion for teh legs and tail. and the T-rex from teh Funstuff. Took a litle tweaking but got them to work togetehr than exported it in OBJ. Again can't give it out unless you have bothe th Dragon and Gremlin. Any idea how to distribute this thing? (Maz's mover will only encrypts with one file) "Phil" Hokusai
heya; sewer, as i understand it, a 'posable prop' is just a prop item that is a figure. like -3-'s casket, anton/hokusai's wings, the various chains, plants, nerd's campfire, etc. they're not figures as we think of them, but they are figures to poser (cr2's). hokusai... you might try to encode the obj with just the gremlin or the dragon (whichever you used the most of). or maybe the p4 man? then the extra stuff will be differences from that figure.... no, i guess then that would mean people wouldn't need the gremlin and dragon to decode it. get maz! :)

Would this claw be OK for the lizardman figure? the fingers are large and clumsy, and there is only three of them, then with the way the hand is shaped, it'll be hard to hold anything like guns etc. - poles and swords it should hold fine but other than that I dunno... is it worth putting on claws like this, or leaving a human hand with claw morphs? I'm waiting on Travellers new P4 male sock morph before doing the feet, he said it should be out by the end of the week (thanks trav!)...I'm going to do them as "human" foot morphs instead of replacing them, because for some reason feet are weird, and I don't want to mess up the walk designer or anything Are there any easy ways to "add" a bodypart to a figure? Or do I have to totally build the figure up again from scratch? SewerRat
