Subject: Is it possible to make Directories Wider so Text Fits on Screen

starmkr ( ) posted Thu, 18 April 2002 at 7:58 PM · edited Wed, 07 May 2025 at 11:27 PM

I am having a problem with alot of files that I can't read what's on labels. So as I am going through the thousands of different files and all I see is "Combined" and I have 25 of them...I have to open each one to find what I want...a lot of wasted time. I am using 1024 by 768.

at the top of the list of directories and files, there is several little blocks, each one labeled with what is in the column under it. click on the line between the file name and size blocks...drag to the right..let go of mouse button.....presto, you have enlarged the column for file names. ~g~

huh?

creativechaos ( ) posted Thu, 18 April 2002 at 11:47 PM

I think he's talking more about how to enlarge the column IN Poser itself, not in Windows Explorer. I've been wondering myself how to make the columns bigger to see more of the subfolder name in Poser myself (Ya know, when ya press the aarow to pull out the menu for the subdirectories such as the Pose folder with a bazillion and one different sub's in it)

? Could you provide a screenshot? I can't move anything. Doing this in Windows Explorer is easy but inside Poser? The more folders I add to the libraries the more letters disappear :-(.

I found by increasing my screen resolution and consolidating my folders somewhat I'm able to see the entire folder names now. It helped ALOT when I moved all my MAT folders into the camera directory and used a renamer for the extensions.

You're still able to use the MAT files in the Camera directory?

serpentis, you can use mats/mors (pz2) as cameras (cm2) or faces (fc2). You only need to rename the extension and move it into the proper folder. I kinda figured this out the other day and posted it at 3dCommune (along with Questor and others). Guess I should've posted it here. I'm surprised it never came up as topic (or I missed it) I moved all my eye/hair/skin mats into faces and clothing/prop mats into cameras.

I was talking about Poser Sub Directories in Poser. I tried the lupas and WOW! But I still can't see all the name of the poses like "combined -fight females" or Fantasy Sword Wizard" But the Lupas is a great tip...

Just a lil comment to starmkr, Try renaming the folders and getting rid of the "Combined" part. That way you can see the beginning word (Sorry I didn't post that earlier, I was too exicted about moving all my MAT poses to think clearly LOL still doing happy dance)

I had to search for a while to find it. Alot of the places that 'had' it were dead links. Here is Lupas Renamer.
