First time I made a border with a photograph. Never pretended to know much about framing and mattes, but after seeing Michelle's borders (and others), and how much they contributed to the total effect of the pictures, I had to give it a try. The picture has some PS layers post work, but the greatest effect was the sun on the horizon doing a bang up back-lighting job on this Arkansas cow!

I like it, colour & tone work well with the subject. Beautiful light.

What a great shot Marshall......I can almost smell the field of cows! The border is cool.

I am, therefore I create.......

I can almost smell the field of cows! What a nice complement! Yes, pretty lighting on this. Good job with the border.

Yours looks like real wood due the grain direction change on the sides, and now mine just looks like texture! I guess you took the top frame and did a 90 degree turn, cut to size and put it on the sides, but man what a difference! I'll remember that. BTW, the "wood" texture was just the "sandstone" effect in PS with a motion blur. I have Bryce, but haven't had the time for it yet.
