I haven't done this in awhile, so I am sure the software choices have changed. What is the best software/method to turn a 2D image into a 3D image? An .eps file can be imported directly into Lightwave, correct? But what about if I have say a logo on a black background in targa format?

Save it as a pict file, then texture wrap it on a 3D mesh. That's the flat-out easiest way. It just depends on the image and what kind of object you want to make.

Hmm....thanks but that's not quite what I mean. Suppose I just have a logo, that I want converted to a 3D object, not just mapped onto an object. The still to real looks good, but it looks more for providing depth to an organic shape.
