How do you convert a Bryce OBP object into a Wavefront OBJ? I looked around for a utility, but didn't see one. I also tried exporting things attached to terrains, hoping that the 'thing' would go out with it, then I could just open it in another program and separate them, but no luck. So how's it done? Newc

If the object you want to convert has the edit mesh function then click on the e to bring up the edit mesh window and while holding control key down press d. A save window will pop up allowing you to save in a variety of formats.

Thanks. Now that I've tried it and found it works, how do I get it to cough up the Edit function on boolean/grouped objects? I'm trying to make the object in this picture, which was done in Infini-D.
Infini-D will only do it in render mode, and won't output the object with holes in it (limitation of DXF I assume).

I haven't figured that one out yet.

My understanding is that you cannot export booleans. There was an earlier discussion about this, I think. Might check the archives. Diane

Wee Hoo! A function I didn't know about. hadn't a clue you could export meshes from Bryce other than the terrains and symmetrical lattices. Hmm, makes the Zygote Bryce CD more attractive now. Damn, missed the sale! Thanks for the tip!
