A search for images of Victorian or steampunk airships, yields a wide variety of depictions from the realistic to the completely fanciful. This airship, my fourth, is inspired by the one featured in the artwork "Postal Dragon" by Vadim Voitekhovitch. (I mimic'd that artwork in my gallery image "A Busy Port", using my Steampunk Airship model, which was itself inspired by various airship images by Voitekhovitch and others.)
Here are early renderings of the basic shape.

The mesh is pretty much complete, but more UV mapping to do. I'm taking a week off for holiday, so no more progress for a bit.

Default textures almost done and most props. As usual, I found a number of small errors in the mesh that needed fixing. Here are renders of the passenger gondola and the navigator's station in the control cabin. All the furnishings are props and may be moved or substituted for.
