Why do I get a Forbidden message when I try to upload my image? Is there something wrong with the site, or is there an actual reason. Guess I'll try posting it somewhere else. I've tried enough times here.

Is Renderosity now blocking VPN traffic? I can access the site if I turn mine off -- if it's on, I get the "403 Forbidden" error. 

I get it too, and I don't use VPN.

Kind of relieved that it's not just me.

in googling:

"An HTTP 403 Forbidden error means the server understands your request but refuses to fulfill it due to lack of permissions..."

so i'm guessing they've further reduced permissions for access due to "AI bots".  if that's the case, then that's also why your protective VPN would not get you here either...

The site has switched to a new, updated system and are trying to sort out the access problems.

Getting frustrating.  Why purchase merchandise when you can't even post results to the gallery.  I hope this is fixed quickly!

I experimented this during the last days, but not each time I try to load an image; even once while commenting somebody earlier last week. I guess the fix against the hackers or such is a little too much "ticklish" today. I still prefer that to a site offline because there is too much "requests", like it happened on 2 weekends in January, at some moments.

I'm using Waterfox browser, and I'm in Europe (France) if that can help.

I don't think it is just VPN permission issues, any browser that is set to limit or deny telemetry and fingerprinting has issues; the trackers (google, facebook, etc.) this site deploys are one of the biggest hindrance to connectivity, I have seen pages wait minutes for googletagmanager to load and why do you need social media profiles of your users?

I am trying to reinstall my Renderosity content and kept getting errors.  I came to the forums to see why.

Site seems to be working much better since my last visit!

The Same problem back only for me ? for almost a week now !

Worked for me just now, crender! Haven't seen that error since the day I posted. Even commenting is generally pretty fast compare to what it was a week ago. If you're still having problems maybe a Mod will see and assist you.

I hope this is the case; since this problem started, it's only worked once for me!  Thank you MeInOhio !

I recommend contacting support https://support.renderosity.com/ and letting them know, including details of what you were doing.

Just a thought. Maybe you need to clear your browser history, cookies, temp files. Maybe it's using a stored path.
