Love it! Now, if it did La Femme 1 to V4, I'd be extra happy!

sounds really good :D

... Is it possible to ask you.. Deecey ... could you also make a pack for Alyson 2 and Ryan 2? ... so Anastasia and Tyler could wear V4 and M4 skind too. .. Only the big bodyparts and Nails (if they are not complicated.).. there is no need for all the small parts ^^

or maybe I can ask you for a step by step tutorial how to make it by my self? :) I fail at the grouping and creating the files.

Deecey posted Sat, 20 December 2025 at 1:31 PM

At present my plan is to do packs for Genesis figures 1 through 9 (though 9 has been problematic), as well as V4 and La Femme.

I'll see how these first few packs move before I make a decision on older figures. My concern about doing older Poser figures is that there won't be enough interest or sales to justify the work involved in creating them. 8-(

Deecey posted Sat, 20 December 2025 at 1:46 PM

After I get all these packs done I will try to make a step by step tutorial.  It will take a while because there's a lot to explain. 8-)

midinick posted Sat, 20 December 2025 at 2:39 PM

uuuuh sounds perfect :) I hope the packs will go good in the store :)

If I would hire you for the older figures, how much would you need to say "ok it was worth the effort"? even if it is just for doe head and body without all the small parts? :)

Picked up both packs, and have a question/request.  Is there any way you can add seam bleeding to the LaFemme conversions?  Every conversion I've tried I have white seams at the shoulder/chest , hip/legs, and all of the head.  I can fix this if I save a cr2 with the conversion applies, then take into BS3D and do the seem bleed on the maps there and then save and overwrite the previously converted maps.

But if possible would love to have this done during conversion.

I've tried to fix this with the "Enhanced Filtering" set from 0 To 100 (not really sure what this is doing), and it seemed to help a little, but still have white at the seam points mentioned.

Other than that, am totally loving this.  Finally can convert some G8F to V4 I've been wanting.  Worked wonderfully.

Thank you. :D

Deecey posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 11:14 AM

I'll take another look. Thought I bled them but I'll check again.

Merry Christmas!

ps ... Yes those bleed settings are very confusing. Sometimes it helps to make sure that the Skinning Method is set to Poser Unimesh, but not always. But I'll double check it all again. I also got Genesis 9 SKINS to work, but the eyes don't convert because her eye materials are really different from the others.

midinick posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 3:18 PM

I noticed the seams too, but only in the preview, if I render there were only 2 tiny single pixels on La Femmes inner side of her legs so I didn't bother at all. Maybe it depends on the source texture?

In my poser she is skinned unimesh and I render with superfly. 🤷🏻

jancory posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 3:28 PM

great news on getting G9 working! both packs are working well for me (once i figure out how to correctly set up a duf for the G8 materials )

i've been doing like bwldrd & loading the textures into B3d after converting,  then applying seam bleed to them.  using a setting of 2 with around 50 strength, whatever both of those mean.  seems to take care of the white spots & renders ok.  most of the time i need to tweak the textures anyway (painted on eyebrows anyone) so it's not really any extra work.  you did all the hard stuff for us.

oh, and Merry Christmas!

I'm glad you all said something, because I want them to be perfect! So it's back to the drawing board on the LaFemme conversions 8-)

midinick posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 3:57 PM

I think the problem is how La Femme is subdivided. If Subdivision is on 0 there are no visible spots on her. and even if she is subdivided to 2 they are nearly not noticable unless you want to render her with both arms up, without hair and legs parted in a very big render.

G9 sounds so cool! Even without eyes <3

@Jancory .. oh is there a special thing about converting from G8? I have the pack in my cart but did not check out yet XD

I'm curious. How does a subdivision of 1 work?  I haven’t has a chance to play with it yet.

Yah I did the subdivision, that was the first thing I thought of since I know it solves the issue most times.  Set posers texture filtering to None.

Could just be the sets I'm trying to convert,   Using some not so basic skin / fur sets. Parrotdolphins Okapi ... Doc000 Feeloo, Sileena, Ixia & Ankahnara ... so there is a lot of patterning making the seams more visable..  Also the original textures themselves may not had a lot of feathering(?) at the seam junctions.

Deecey posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 7:43 PM

I may redo both the V4 and G8F kits totally, this time checking against a subdiv of 1 or 2. I thought if anything it would cover everything if I left subdivision off. I guessed wrongly. LOL

RedPhantom posted Thu, 25 December 2025 at 8:39 PM Site Admin

I finally had some time to play. I converted Loreli to LF and rendered subdivision 0-3. Here they are from least to most

There seems to be a slight difference between 1 and 2 subdivisions, but  2 and 3 look the same.

And just for grins and giggles, since I also have Texture Converter 2, I converted a texture from Mike 4 to Vicky and then converted it to La femme, since she and L'homme share the same UV maps. Here's L'homme with Agdar's texture. The eyes aren't great, but otherwise, it's not a bad conversion.

The sets you are trying to convert do make a difference. I've noticed that.

However, part of the problem I've been noticing is that the Texture Transformer Development Tools have a "Bleed Lookup Maps" function that is very touchy. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. That may be part of the problem for the V4 to LaFemme kit that was released. I'm trying to figure out what causes the bleeds not to work but there is no rhyme or reason to it so far.

Then there's this other strange issue. If I bleed the main body parts (face, torso, and limbs) to 4, it causes other parts like lips, nostrils, and nipples to go invisible, so I have to set those down to 1.  It's trial and error to figure out what bleed settings to put in the source and destination bleed index files. Be patient, I'm trying to work around this!  It doesn't help that the docs are outdated and there's no one else around that can answer questions.

TY for the feedback.   Don't wrack your brains to much, enjoy the holidays :D  If it's not doable that's fine.

Not like it isn't fixable by user, just requires a couple more steps, (and yes I'll admit I'm lazy, and would like as little work as possible on my end. LOL)

What you've already accomplished is a MAJOR benefit. :D

100% agree!  and even in the early days of TTX it was widely understood that you'd need to tweak the results.  also much easier now that you can set it to load in B3D after conversion.

i'm having so much fun with this.

Yep, I 100% agree too :) Don't stress yourself, Deecey.

I'm a really lazy user (wen it comes to postwork or prework) and I think the set is nearly perfect ^^ The alternative so far has been "no set"... I'm so grateful to you for all the possibilities we now have :)

I got TT2 some time ago and love the V4/M4 conversion to G3. I just wonder, if there will be an add-on to get G9 and G3 textures to G8.1. That would be great as using the standard UVs will allow to mix textures from various G8/G8.1 characters in Photoshop/Affinity.

I also got the add-ons here and I wonder, if we will get access to the upgrades in our library at Renderosity.

I assume that the add-ons at the beginning of this thread works with the old TT2 version, or do we need a new one?

Deecey posted Mon, 05 January 2026 at 6:45 AM

I've been using these packs with the Texture Transformer 2 version that comes with Blacksmith 3D v8 because somehow I've lost my registration info for TT7. So I can't confirm that it works with the older version, but I'm assuming that it does.

And yes you should get the updates for the V4 and G8 bundles in your user accounts. They are awating review by Rendo staff.

Add ons for G9 to other characters will be skin and nails only. The funky names for the eye parts didn't transfer over and threw errors for G9 conversions.

G1, G2, and G3 will also be supported. Be patient, they take time. 8-)

Singular3D posted Tue, 06 January 2026 at 2:13 AM

Great! Skin and nails are sufficient, as I have some old G9 characters that I would like to transfer to G8.1.

Just wanted to update folks on why there has been a delay.

I had a disk failure about a month ago. And it was the disk that had all my projects on it.  WAAAHHHHH!

I tried to copy things over to a new drive before removing the bad one. Some things copied, some things didn't. And guess what didn't?

So I've had to start things all over again.  Can you say "frustrated"?

Anyway they are still in the pipeline and I still intend to release them. I really apologize for the delay. 8-(

Oh no! That doesn’t sound good. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have to start everything all over again. And on top of that, it’s always so fiddly to set everything up. Thanks a lot for the info :) I’ve honestly been checking every single day first thing to see what’s new in the MP and whether a new add-on is out yet XD Now my autonomic nervous system can calm down a bit, knowing it’s going to take a little longer XD

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes more smoothly this time :)

Singular3D posted Wed, 18 February 2026 at 1:10 AM

That doesn't sound good. That's why I make a regular backup of all data on a local NAS and an external harddisk, because I had such an experience several years ago.

Wish you all the best and I hope you get back on track soon.

Any news on this topic?

Deecey posted Fri, 08 May 2026 at 1:55 PM

Just an update for you folks.

I haven't forgotten you all.  I took a hard fall a few weeks ago and can only handle about a half hour at a time before my back and knees tell me to lie down. I am STILL working on the stuff it's just taking so much longer than I thought. Especially after losing the files.

I'm so sorry. Please be patient with me.  Hopefully I'll be releasing them soon, just every time I think I'm ready I find something else I have to tweak.

Thanks. 8-)

It was a real "I've fallen and I can't get up" situation. My knees are bone on bone (thanks to another fall some 20 years ago), so once I was down we had to call 911 to help me get back up, because trying to roll over on my knees to stand was impossibe.  Bless those guys, they saved the day!

But the fall kind of kinked my back a bit. Not bad enough for hospital, just enough to affect how long I can sit without needing a heating pad.

It really SUCKS to get old.  Wish I could turn the clock back 20 years or so.

OUCH!  And here, I was afraid to ski down a beginner's hill when I was younger. That had to hurt!

Singular3D posted Sun, 10 May 2026 at 3:19 AM

The operation went well and everythings ok now. Can't complain, but decided to skip skiing after more than 30 years.

midinick posted Tue, 12 May 2026 at 7:44 AM

Oh no, that really sounds painful. I am so sorry you had to go through that. I am honestly just glad you were not hurt even worse.

Those 911 guys really were heroes that day. Situations like that must feel terrifying and frustrating at the same time. Please do not worry too much about the project or the release. Your health is far more important and I think everyone would rather wait a little longer than have you push yourself too hard.

And honestly, I think a lot of us wish we could turn the clock back 20 years sometimes. Getting older definitely comes with some very unfair surprises.

Take your time, rest when you need to, and be kind to yourself. We will still be here when you are ready. 🙂
