In my opinion, it's clear as day that Time Choate is utterly clueless. Poser 14 is a disgusting, below-minimum effort embarrassment, and Poserplay was a disgusting embarrassment too. What the hell is Choate thinking!? And before the fanboys and old guard leap in and start shilling about his "big picture" and "planning for the future;" okay, then that should have been adequately communicated. Butchering Poser 13, then overcharging for a lesser version is nothing but a sleazy Black Friday/Christmas cash grab. There's nothing in Poser 14 that should not have been included as a patch to 13 (especially the Cycles stuff, which was advertised and never fully delivered in 13). If you have back-end stuff to work on in order to take the program forwards, then get on with that and only charge us when you have it fully resolved.

Choate has clearly never heard of the marketing truism "Exceed your customers' expectations." He clearly went to the college of "Nickel and dime at every opportunity."

In 2019 Choate laughably said "We  want to delight customers by delivering commonly requested features where viable. We also want to drive adoption of the latest version of Poser with good communications" (ha ha ha flipping ha) "and AGGRESSIVE PRICING." (hysterical laughter.)

Nice marketing speak, but I can tell you Timmy boy, we are distinctly UNdelighted.

When Bondware should be giving the program away for free (10 years too late actually), they're pulling this crap. Tim, Poser is NOT a market leading premium program any more. Stop acting and pricing like it is.

Hard to argue that the future of Poser is not a total dead end, but then it's in the hands of someone who seems not to have ever used the program, nor care about it.

If this is what a "tech entrepreneur" (to use his words), does, maybe he should change careers. If not for DAZ studio, and the content sales it generates, Choate would deservedly be out of a job.
