📣 New Gallery AI Classification System + Filter Settings Now Live!

Hi everyone!

We’re excited to introduce a new AI Classification System for gallery uploads, designed to bring more transparency and control to your browsing experience.  

🖼️ New AI Upload Categories

Beginning June 16th, all gallery submissions will need to be categorized using one of the following:

• No AI – No artificial intelligence tools were used in any stage of the image creation.
• Partial AI – AI was used to assist in the creation process (e.g., background generation, texture enhancement, or concept inspiration), but traditional methods (3D rendering, manual painting, photography, etc.) make up the majority of the work.
• Mostly AI – Image is primarily generated using AI platforms (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion).

Users uploading Partial or Mostly AI images will be asked to list the tools used and provide a brief description of their process.

🏆 Reward Points Update

When the AI Classification System goes live, we will update our reward point system to reflect these new classifications:

Reward Point Structure (per eligible upload)

Classification	Base Points	Vendor Bonus	Production Credits Bonus
No AI	10 pts	+5 pts	+3 pts
Partial AI	5 pts	+5 pts	+3 pts
Mostly AI	3 pts	+5 pts	+3 pts

• Vendor Bonus: Awarded if the user is a vendor with Renderosity.
• Production Credits Bonus: Awarded when users credit the products from the Renderosity MarketPlace used in the image creation.

🔍 Want to Filter Out AI Images?

You will now have the ability to control what types of gallery content you see.

 To adjust your settings:

1. Click your username in the top menu.
2. Select Gallery from the dropdown.
3. Choose your preferences under AI Classification Filter – you can include or exclude images with AI content as you like.
4. Hover over each filter button for a quick explanation of what each setting means.

i am assuming that "production credit bonus" relates to listing out what assets were used? if yes, then that means for the "bonus" one must always include something from the Rendo MP, correct? essentially advertising products, if i am reading things correctly? 

and if you do not use anything from the MP here, then no bonus is recieved at all even if you state outside assets used, correct? or if you created all items used yourself that are no in the MP here, then that resolves in the same way?

can you please clearly clarify and state what this bonus idea is, how it functions, and how it is assessed, ie is it automated via a script that looks for MP links upon upload?

i would strongly encourage staff to put this information in the front page 'News' section and in the Community newsletter if neither has been done yet, along with a link back to this post, or the duplicate post found in the MP Customer Service forum, so questions can be freely asked if needed/wanted...

On the Gallery Upload form, the Production Credits is that area where you can specify and products available in the Rendo marketplace that were used in the render. This is intended to motivate artists to credit vendors' products and, therefore, promote their products. This is simply a bonus of 3 rewards points to be added on top of the existing 10 rewards points for traditional artwork.

Assets credited that are not sold on Renderosity, are not eligible for the extra bonus points, because in order to get the bonus points you must credit them via the Production Credits field. This means that even if you credit the products by pasting URLs to the product in the description, you won't get the bonus. This is because the Production Credits field allows for a tight mapping between gallery items and products that we can aid in further promotion in a way that URLs cannot.

The credits will be automatically added to the base rewards of the gallery item once it becomes active on the site.

so the "bonus" is given for being reliant upon others' creativity essentially, rather than learning to be independently creative and artistic yourself... got it...

I don't think the new system is bad. :)

so for me and my images I will not have any worsening compared to the old points system. ... and will get a bonus because I always try to list all products, just because I also love to see the Gallery Button in the MP filled with examples how a product looks outside the promos :)

i agree, insofar as it does help to provide examples of use, a thing i depend upon in making purchasing decisions :))

it does, however, have a few drawbacks as it means you need to use something that is current and available in the MP, which might be trickier for Poser users with fewer product releases and products being pulled, being no longer available TO actually credit...

realistically though, 3 points isn't game changing...

i don't think this new idea is "bad" either, though i do think, like most things, it has its issues... :))

As Giana says, this change is geared towards encouraging purchased of new content and discourages using old. Given how little is produced for Poser these days, this is not really encouraging for the few that still remains.

But this is, above all, a site where you buy things, I guess.

You can credit old content in the gallery. I do it all the time. The only issue is if the item is no longer being sold. If an item has been removed from the store, you aren't going to be able to credit it anymore than you can credit something that has never been in the store.

I like the idea in itself. Not doing always Poser or Daz things, but I tell it under images.

Will you check on the said Photoshop (or PSP, Gimp...) images too? Because I think there are images said that way which are AI in fact...

Thanks for your question. Yes, we will be checking images labeled as Photoshop, PSP, GIMP, etc.,. That said, this new system is going to be a learning curve for all of us—including the staff—and we appreciate your patience as we adapt and refine the process moving forward. When the system is launched, if you see something that seems incorrectly labeled, feel free to report it and we’ll take a closer look.

well, good luck getting some engagement moving in the gallery again, hope it works out.

If this works, I'll consider posting here again and maybe even restore some of my gallery since I deleted it all. The reason behind that? The flood of AI only images. People using only AI are not buying anything here. I played with it for a while. BORING!! I deleted everything I made except for backgrounds which I created and refined many times over, both on the AI program and in Photoshop. 

But AI is not the kind of "art" I have any interest in viewing. It all looks the same, generic and obvious. And personally, I really don't cae if someone finds that offensive.

I am fairly certain the AI that made those images will not be offended.

That is exactly true.  It is a marketplace that wants to promote the marketplace.  Makes sense. 

These will be welcomed changes and it will make the galleries here relevant again for 3D renderers.

I don't think denoisers count as AI enhanced. It doesn't change the image, just removes the noise.

I don't think either the AI included in Poser is targeted by the Rendo team like AI.

For AI, I think they look for Crayion, all the Stable Diffusion ones, Dall-E and many many others that I forgot the name. All full AI things.

Yeah, until told otherwise, I agree that the denoiser is probably safe. It will be interesting to see how things play out when more and more functionality is added to our software that blurs the boundaries between full-on Gen AI and "traditional" tools.

I really appreciate the new system of applying AI label if it is AI.  I have spent long periods of time looking at art work trying to figure out which products were used. Now that many of them are being labeled AI it really helps me. If it is AI I simply move on without trying to figure out what was used in the creating process.

Regarding Poser's denoiser, no, you don't need to mark it as partial AI. If you're using other AI for image improvement, then mark those as partial AI. This is something we're still refining, so we might see other changes.

Hi!

Great idea, this new labelling system but I do believe I have found some errors with my gallery. As in, every image I ever posted appears to be marked "No AI". That is incorrect. I have many works that should properly be called "Partial AI" and a smaller few that except for tweaks to colour, contrast & sharpening in Photoshop are fully AI. My production notes included with each will tell you exactly what was used and my methods, etc. but I would like to know how to correct this as I don't want to mislead anybody about my art.
