hey there, i love posing my figures and rendering every image on it' own, is there a way to +render+export to specific folder+ auto rename at the same time, i used a python script back then with poser 2014 but can't find it now?

it was like this

i click on scripts folder > click on that script ( ican't remember it's name) > renders & auto save to a folder of my choice!?

many thanks in advance

Online Now!

Do you want to render several PZ3 scenes that already exist into a folder, using specific filenames? Also, which Poser version are you using? Current Poser 12 has a different Python version, so older scripts may not work in it.

Are you saying that you create a different pose on each frame and then want to render them out at the same time?

If that's the case you can use the Animation > Make Movie command. No script needed.

Before you do the following, use the Render Dimensions dialog to set the image resolution that you want to render. Then specify your render settings in the Render Settings dialog.

Then choose Animation > Make Movie.

For Format, choose Image Files.

For Renderer, select which renderer you want to use (FireFly, Sketch, Preview, or SuperFly). The settings specified in Render Settings dialog will be used, so make sure you have that set the way you want before starting the render.

For Resolution Scale, choose Full to render at the specified dimensions.

For Time Frame, enter the frame numbers that you want to render. For example if you have five different poses in frames 1 through 5, just enter Start 1 End 5.

For increment choose All Frames.

If you want to save your Make Movie Settings to go back to it, click the Save Settings at the bottom. (Note you'll also need to save your project file later to save the settings with the scene).

After you get all that done, click the Make Movie button. Poser will ask you to locate a file folder and enter a filename. The frame number will be appended to the filename, with a four-digit number (0001, 0002, etc). For image file format, I recommend PNG.

Hope this helps

Later, let's say you add 5 more poses at frames 6 through 10. Providing you saved the make movie settings as mentioned above, you don't have to re-render the first five frames. Just enter Start 6 End 10, and choose the same folder where the original five were saved.

using poser 12 but i think i will return to poser 2014 my only problem is the flash player not being supported any more which causes the software to break.

actually my process is like i pose the figures then render & export the image, the python script was like i press on it it renders & exports the image automatically.

@aspirine2 , Go to the edit menu, select general preferences. Win window opens move to render tab.  In render tab look for Cache .. Max cached renders .. change the number in the box to the number of renders you would like to have cached.   Click ok.  I'm unsure if you need to restart for it to take effect.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

You can use 'render in cache'. It does exactly that: process renders from a cache. It is a separate process that runs parallel with and independent from Poser. If you do not want it to take up capacity when using Poser you can suspend processing until a later time. Results are stored in a location you specify.

There may be some limits, depending on Poser version you use. Most likely you are limited to CPU rendering.
