Had almost the same problem with them when they were still going on. Had purchased some items from them and for some reason (work mainly) did not download my purchases for some time. The time has passed and when I remember that I had to download these items they would not allow me to download them. I contacted them and asked for renewal of the allowed time to download (they had a stupid limit of time in which you had to download the stuff you purchased in X amount of days), or my money back. They refused both saying that it was my fault and blaming me!! That drew the line for me, very bad business.
I think I've downloaded everything I had on to a back up drive from CP, from the looks of things I'm glad I did, shame they won't let rendo allow the old orders in a separate site for others to use incase they need to. like you I didn't the silly limit amount of time to dl or re-dl if you needed the file again, bad business from CP.
what they had in the small print was an automatic charge to keep a purchase history to rectify just such problems. they made it consumer responsibility to see the extra charge on invoice and keep the charge/service or remove it before the purchase enactment. never liked that whole procedure and found later it was just a ruse to get extra money per purchase because. I found at my own expense it was never honored. Downloaded all my purchases and never bought anything there again.
