OK, this is most probably a very dumb question, but at the moment I'm stumped. My old comp is malfunctioning, so I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to something newer. My question is, just how do I install Poser Pro 2014 ? I saved all the files when I originally downloaded Poser Pro 2014, but all they seem to be is .rar fies that lead to endless .zip files - I can't find any install or setup files ? I'm guessing I need the Smith Micro download manager to open and install all the files in their correct places ? However, I don't seem to have that download manager..do I have to contact Smith Micro for another copy ? I'm guessing each download manager is poser version specific ? I mean, a download manager for Poser 10 won't work for Poser Pro 2014 ?

Poser Pro 2014 is the pro version of Poser 10; they would use the same DLM. If you have that DLM and your serial, that's all you need.
I'm puzzled by what you have with multiple .zip files nested within a .rar.

All the original files for PP2014 should be in exe format, not zip. Is this purchased?

You could also download the Smith Micro downloader. If you still have your serial number (which if you can boot up the old pc lists on the open screen) you should be able to download a fresh copy of PP2014 and it's patches. And as far as rar files 7zip (a free program) works on rar and zip formats. I highly recommend the program.

This is what my original PoserPro 2014 download looks like (but there have also been several SR/patches). If memory serves me right, when you run the 'Install Poser Pro 2014", it kind of shepherded the running of the other/content EXE.

Re your question about the download manager, there is only one version of that for all versions of Poser. (I used the same DLM to download both Pro 2014 and Poser 11) When you input your serial number it gives you the downloads for the version that goes with that serial number. The easiest way to get it is to go to the page with the service releases and input your serial number there and it will take you to the Content Paradisr store where you "buy" the DLM for $0.
