An Iray client for C4D (R16 or R17 only) was released yesterday.
The Iray server (also in beta) has been available for a while...
(once you've joined the forum, just apply to join the beta program.)
the server in 'Queue' mode lets you put jobs onto a cluster of servers and let the network work through them. Or with the server in 'Interactive' mode you can fill a single machine with Quadro cards and get almost realtime rendering.

Do you know what are the specs for iRay C4d? I have i5 laptop with Intel HD Graphics card. I joined their beta yesterday and still waiting for the plugin.

Iray itself seems to work on anything from a Pentium to a Tesla. The only requirements I've seen are R16 and R17 and whatever they require.

Ok sounds good. I have r16 and i5 processor with 8 Gb ram. That should do nicely.

That will work well enough for testing but without the acceleration from an nVidia card it will be slow.
