Why is Daz Studio 4.8 so slow rendering? I made what I thought was a simple scene, it did have the water grotto in it, and V7. Just the two things. It took 4 hours and it still wasn't done. That's with the default size of the image. I am used to Poser's rather speedy rendering. I have the required PC according to Daz specs: Quad core 3.3 Intel i7, Nvidia video card with 4 gigs of RAM, and 64 gigs of regular RAM. My computer is normally very fast. Even Vue renders fast. I can't believe the suggestions made by Daz. "Try different brand of RAM, get a new PC (WHY?) I can't even do test renders in Studio without it taking hours. In Poser 11 and Poser 2012 Pro, it takes minutes to render entire scenes with 6-7 Vickies and M4 like I did with my holiday dinner scene. The final render in that one took about ten minutes, if that. Daz Studio is very frustrating. Can I speed up my renders? It does not seem to make a difference if I am using the Iray engine or the 3Ddelight engine. Both are long.
