I am looking toward purchasing a new rendering plugin for Carrara, and Octane is no go for me. I have an AMD gpu (Sapphire Radeon Dual-X r9 290X 4gb). Thus, Luxus/LuxusCore are the most likely suspects.

What exactly is (or will be) the difference between them, since they are both ways to render in Lux? Does one provide a large benefit over the other?

Also, as I understand it they both have a problem with Carrara dynamic hair. Because of that, I am looking at the possibility of moving my characters from Carrara to Blender, adding Blender's version of dynamic hair, and rendering in Cycles. How hard is it to get DAZ characters from Carrara to Blender? Is there a way to move them over with their morph targets intact as shape keys? Would I be better off using my generation 3 & 4 stuff than trying to get Genesis working in Blender?

Are there other rendering plugins for Carrara that I just don't know about? Are there other options for rendering I should look into?
