When it's in the DAZ store, were free means $6.95.

I got an Xmas Email from DAZ bragging about it's 15 free items. So I went to the store to check, of the 15 items listed 6 were free, 1 was free with purchase and the rest were $6.95. You know what they call that?

But wait it gets even better "FREE for Platinum Club members or FREE with any
Purchase". Ah so that is why the "free" items are $6.95. The salemail neglected to point out it was Pclub or with purchase only. That isn't free.

What gets me is several of the $6.95 items have been free for years, now DAZ is charging for them. Way to use smoke and mirrors to suck every penny you can out of every customer DAZ.

At this point I think DAZ needs to go under. The people running it now need to learn a lesson and they aren't going to learn it the easy way. I wonder how running a business right in to the ground will look on their resumes?

Hi Manley and interested folks, 

The point of this forum is to be resource to folks using Carrara and how to create art and work with the program. 

We all have our opinions about what companies should and could do better. What I'm not interested in is a set up for a vitriolic bash session which individuals, companies and their motivations are called into question - as some recent threads have devolved into. 

In fact, it's part of the terms of service for Renderosity. So, I'm locking this thread.
