I don't know a whole lot about making custom shaders in Carrara. Does anyone have an easy formula to make a shader for something like a gummy bear, or gelatin? I've experimented a lot and can't seem to get it right and am getting very frustrated.

Any help would be appreciated. Easy to follow instructions would be awesome. Thank you kindly.

Here's a quicky I put together. Is this close?

That is amazing! I'd like a little more transparent (or is it translucent?) so that I can see through it a little more. Still playing around but clearly my novice skills will only get me so far. You are a genius! What are the parts of the shader tree you're using?

Sweet Mark!

Sorry for the delay. I'll make some adjustments and then post the file. It's a little more complex than you might think!

Closer to what you had in mind?

Yes, looks great. How did you make that and what kind of light do you have on it?

Sorry for the delay. Work......bah!

Attached is a Carrara file of the scene above. Take a look at both the shader settings as well as the render settings. This type of work requires both to look decent.

change the .txt suffix to .car and the file will work fine
