I have the Carrara 8.5 upgrade and I downloaded the Sickle Yield Super Hoodie. I moved the Data files to "data" the texture files to "textures" and the people files to "people". Really the product runs just fine in daz studio, but give me this error in Carrara:
Warning: SYSuperHoodieG duplicated in file dataSickleClassicesSuperHoodieSYSuperHoodieGSYSuperhooideG.dsf
Error: node /data/SickleYield/ClassicsSuperHoodie?SYSuperHoodieG/SuperhoodieG.dsf#SYSuperHoodieG not found
Any ideas?

DSF diles arent readeble by Carrara, if you have the lastest DS version export as DUF, the new file system from Daz that Carrara will read without problem.

BTW, might have mentioned that you were refering to Studio SDK 4.5 which is a plug in from what I can see.

Okay... apparently there IS a studio 4.5 release, it's just a little hidden. Installing...

Okay, I have Studio 4.5 installed and even found out that DUF stands for DAZ User File. However I can't figure out how to open one in Carrara.

Just import the file as any other. For pose, shaders first select the Actor instance and import usinf File / Import option.

There is no usinf option in Carrara's imports. Besides Carrara imports from the main menu, not through poses or something like that. Do you really mean to say import?

Sorry you need to select the Genesis instance not Actor. But YES Carrara have a Import option in the File menu, that is what you will use to import the DUF file that you want. You also can create a scene in DS with everything in place and save as a DUF file and open in Carrara.

Did you download something else? I have the beta version, but the DSF import option is only DSF not DSF and DUF.

Check if you have the latest beta CARRARA 8.5.0.149 is the latest Beta Build!

Well after having a big computer issue I finally downloaded 8.5.0.149 and... nothing. Sorry but Carrara reads the DSF file when trying to open a DUF file. This just seems like adding a new step to the same process while fixing nothing. Do you have the product I'm talking about? I mean the super hoodie thing.

I dont think I have this item. DAZ will add a new public beta this week, maybe this can fix the problem that you have.

Have you EVER gotten a genesis based figure from renderosity to function in Carrara?

I have some morphs for Genesis fro renderosity and they load fine in Carrara. The goal with Genesis is that you dont need to really load the morphs, they all are assinged to the base mesh.

I'd be curious to find out whats going wrong here.
Is it just Rendo Genesis items or similar with other Daz content?
