Been looking to possibly invest in Reality for rendering. I currently use Daz|Studio 4 in combination with LuxMax via OBJ export, and, of course, Luxrender 1.0rc for rendering.
Before bypassing my current workflow situation, which could be more efficient, I would like to know some details regarding the Reality plugin everyone rendering with Lux/Daz seems to be using.
Does Reality give access to Lux multi-layer material, so one could specify parameters there in, for example, creating a realistic skin material? I'm finding myself currently having to edit the output of Luxmax by hand to take advantage of some features offered in newer versions of Lux, particularly regarding material options of this nature.
In the end, how much control does Reality give the user in customizing material parameters? I like some things available to me now, like how Luxmax allows me full control to specify things like volume integrator (multi/single) on export, absorbtion parameters for translucency, and adding control maps to glossy translucent materials.
