Subject: wierd spline reaction..?

OK, was actually working on the CCP (Carrara Community Project) and trying a few diff things I just haven't been happy with the shape I get in the vertex modeler so I went back to my tried and true Spline modeler, got it all done, but notices this error in shape after a render.  It's find on the front view, but the back view is all screwy.. (Right hand of the image below)

any ideas??  I can move the point on the sweep path to make it go away, but then you get an overlap and the material blacks out funny... :scared:

I uploaded the file if anyone wants to play... probably something I screwed up but I can't figure it out.  and it's kinda a stupis simple item... :mellow:

It's a phenomenon that shows up in pipeline extrusions.

You're better off starting with a flat square in the front view and doing changes along a straight path.

ya, think i figured it out/remembered the quirk/fix...   need to draw the outline, then just add a SINGLE section, then you can add multiples after, for some reason if you don't do the single section the first one never acts as a normal one...  kinda wierd,  but here it is.. and it seems to work..
