I was building a simple scene and I needed a treasure chest and so I decided to build my own.  Dang if this just kept spiraling out of control to get it done.  Took me three hours to build it but I"m happy with it.

It's really crazy how stuff like this works out and can get really crazy.  This model resulted in 298 objects, 19 master objects and 5 master shaders.

I put this into the freestuff.  It will show up when it's approved.

Happy New Year!

Your model proves that Carrara has a very powerful modeling system. It's a great model.  One thing you can do is make it Poser ready, so that it can be opened and closed in Poser.  Jan

Nice work Kix!

This is available in the freestuff now.  I updated the hinges a little bit, redid the rivets on the hasp a tad and rotated the boards in the sides of the top to mix up the textures a little bit (all things you would probably never even notice).

The only thing I didn't do that I wanted to was to put some treasure in it!
