I just wanted some input on a texture pack I am working on - this is the first 'liquid' texture - Icy blue.
I have used it here to make an Ice flow.
Comments appreciated (yeah I know its a Carribean sky (I'm odd like that :D)
Cheers,
Artilad.

It looks good, but it looks kind of rough and grainy. To me it seems more like white beach sand in texture, than a liquid. It seems to be especially noticeable closer to the render camera. Then again, I may be wrong. What do you think?

Yeah, I can see how you get that - I could probably cut the bump mapping down a notch or two to smooth it a bit more like ice, or even not have a bump map...
Thanks for the input, **sparrownightmare

I would smooth the base texture a bit. Ice is never perfectly smooth, there are always imperfections, but they are just a bit too sharp and contrasting. Try using a low level Gaussian Blur filter on the base texture and see how it comes out. Hope this helps.

OK, I will play a bit this weekend.
Thanks for the idea.
