My Carrara Pro 8 (64-bit) has been running very slow lately and I'm beginning to wonder if it's because of where I have it installed. My 1 Tb hard drive is partitioned into a C and D drive. Carrara (like all my programs) is installed on the C drive with all its native content, but all the Poser runtimes and the .car files I make I save on the D drive. I used to always have Poser on a separate drive before I got Carrara and let Carrara use the default when it installed, that's why its the way it is.
Would it run a little faster (loading and saving especially) if everything was on the, say, the D drive?
Thanks!
