Subject: Trouble making NLA clip from pz2 clips

After exporting some pz2 clips from Mimic Pro, I was able to import those clips into C7 Pro without any difficulty - the lip synch animation looked fine.

I haven't been able to capture that data in an NLA clip however.  I don't get any error messages along the way - but after Selecting the Root of the Figure, going to the NLA tab, saying Create Master Clip, the keyframes don't disappear from the timeline and the saved clip doesn't carry any animation data with it.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Have tried a bunch of techniques, but still no solution.

Anyone know how to import a pz2 file from Mimic and successfully transfer that animation into an NLA track?

Thanks

 Hi Mosk,

Sorry for the delay - too much work lately, not that that is a bad thing. I haven't experienced this. I'll check it out and post back.

Thanks Mark.

By the way, BetterThanLife on the DAZ forums gave me a working solution / workaround.

If I save the Mimic PZ2 file into one of my runtimes and then just load that file as a regular pose, I'm able to capture the info into an NLA clip without any problem.  So practically speaking, my workflow is fine.

What I haven't been able to figure out is how to capture that same lip synch animation if you go to the Properties panel with your figure selected and click "Import Pose as Clip."  The lip synch comes in fine, but there doesn't seem to be any way to capture the data off the timeline for reuse as an NLA.  As to the Clip that its automatically generated, it doesn't seem to hold any data, because if I drag that clip onto a different spot in the timeline, no lip synch/motion occurs.  Have tried a variety of ways including Edit Clip and convert to master clip, none of which have worked.

As I mentioned above, I have a perfectly viable workaround, so this is now just a curiosity for me, so please don't feel compelled to spend too much time figuring it out on my account.  If you do get it working, would of course love to hear the proper method.
