I am looking to make a fight scene and i would like to put in a fireball (a la street fighter) but what ever i try it looks rubbish, could any one point me towards a tutorial or suggest any good settings to make a great looking fire/energy ball

yes i have looked at that, i remember someone on here saying you could fake it using a bulb light and sphere

I have been trying to figure out how you have done that all day, and have failed, care to help a struggling renderer and its maker by sharing the settings? :D

After downloading the file, remove the ".txt" suffix from the file and then open in Carrara.

Also, the little sample I posted is fully animatable although it currently has no animation in it. DCG's Enhance C and Shoestring Shaders have some excellent procedural shaders that can be animated too.

doesnt seem the link is working, sends me to a page stating no results found, i did do a search over there but couldnt see it, is it still there?
