Hi,
I´ll want to reproduce the "underwater scene" tutorial of the "Dark Arts Series".
Mr. Bremmer is using a picture, named wavegenerator, to faking the caustics.
I can not really see the important point of the picture, because is is very little.
Can someone explane for me whats relevant, so that I can reproduce it?
Please excuse my poor command of english,
Geli

The purpose of the the "underwaterscene" texture light gel is to prevent Carrara from doing caustic calculations which take more time. Texture map based imagery renders very fast by comparison.
Attached is the image. Use it in good health! :D

YEs, I Highly Recommend the "Caustic Generator" at the link above. I have been using it not lomg after I got started with 3D in late 2005 and it is an exceptional little app. You don't have to install it, just open the zip file and it will run on any computer and the textures it makes are Seamless. I have it in my thumbdrive!!!
