Here we go guys, i'm on holiday at the moment but you have to be faithful to Bryce no matter what hahah (actually its a rainy day); this is the first image that came to mind when i read the challenge thread. i hope its suitable. again i have gone for a Bryce render. to show what our little programme can do. and as i have been having some success with clouds and mist lately, and have found ways to keep volumetric render times low. so i went for it - and heres a few behind the scenes shots.

So, rj, just what is the secret to reasonable volumetric rendering times then...care to share?.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

so that's how you do a smoke trail. Been trying to get one done for my last render (Bryce part's finished...at least)...I'll keep this in mind for next time.

I like your way of making a field, I might borrow that idea (not for this contest) someday if it's ok :)
