Hi Everyone,

I see these awesome renders coming out of MAX that have a clay/gray look to them.

Is there any way to achieve this look within Poser 7?
I'm pretty sure it has to do with the materials used along with lighting.
But wasnt sure if you could get that same look in Poser.
I've tried without much luck.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Yea, That would help wouldnt it.

Well, Stonemason comes to mind.

I'm sure you can get an effect similar to that... just a matter of hammering at it for a while. Looks like you'd use a blinn specular node with a really low grey color value and a very wide roll off the highlighting. Something that diffuses the light across the surfaces so as to give the impression of absorbing at least a portion of it. That's where I'd start anyway... -Les

IIRC, the "Clay" lighting node is the one you need for this effect.

I thought that was just the default max material , with a slight change in color .
