How the heck do obtain the ability in Carrara to move a little bit to the right or left? I clicked on the icon for such things and if you click around on the keyboard you move around a lot. Please advise and thank you.

If you mean move your poit of view (the camera you are looking through), then the side icons are how to do it. If it's moving too fast, lower your mouse sensitivity in the Windows Control panel. You can also use the movement panel to move that camera a fraction of an inch at a time.
