In the spirit of the season I thoght I would pass on a gift of praise to the following:
Daz development team: Thanks guys and gals for your hard work on Carrara. Love the new features of C& and better yet the bug fixes (please I don't want to re-ignite the pay for fixes debate) a job well done deserves recognition. Though I am still definetly in the learning stage I will state I believe Carrara Is the best bang for the buck you will find on the market.
Mark Bremmer: Our active moderator who always lends his wealth of knowledge freely and with a touch of humor. Kudos for his great tutorial series ( worth every pennie ).
GKDantas: a member who is always willing to help another Carrara user with suggestions and solutions.
BWTR: I appreciate the effort expanded on fellow users behalf, researching items and pointing us in the right direction.
and many others who freely give assistance and time to help those of us still leaning Carrara.
Merry Christmas to all!
Graphic Observations: Many problems can be solved by reading the manual Not all answers are equal Some problems don't need answers

Thanks PP and complements of the season also to you.
I am just returning the help given to me over the years.
You may note that I tend to reply to unanswered new posts as they seem to be from people in my same time zone (At least being awake at the computer at the same time!), and I keep away from stuff associated with animation and Poser.
I may not have the right answers but I may steer ideas solving in a new direction!
All the best
Brian

Merry Christmas to you all. And I really want to echo the compliments about the new Carrara version. It feels really stable too. Too bad the soft body dynamics are still not in it, but lots of things of my wish list are...
One man I would not want to go unnoticed in this respect is Eric Winemiller, who has been producing amazing plugins for Carrara for years now, and always is the first to answer questions about things related to his stuff. And, great to mention too, keeps updating his fantastic plugins for free once you have paid the extremely fair price...
I plan on using and exposing Carrara even more in 2009, because I moved to a better work/freetime solution. And for work, Carrara (in combination with Hexagon) is still my 3D solution for illustration, animation and making extremely fast and nice sketches for a broad range of communication needs. From specially made usb stick designs to non-photorealistic renderings of trade shows, Carrara kicks S!
