Mac OS 10.4
Is there a way to have Carrara 6.2 find the Poser 7 geometry to figures? I have the runtimes but Carrara always asks to find the geometry and the textures. I have no problems doing this in Poser 7.also no problem in Vue 6 pro.

I have this problem sometimes also, but only with Poser runtimes 4-6 since I don't have 7. I think it has to do with which primary Poser version you tell carrara about and then it asks you to find geomoetries and textures if they're in a different runtime than that version.
Keep in mind, I don't have my version in front of me now, so I could be way off base. But once I tell Carrara where to find the geometery for one item, thats all it takes.
Oh yeah... and I use a PC, not a Mac, so there might be some differences there also.

I have the C6.2 browser tied to several P7 runtimes. As long as I use the browser to load the figure, I never have to locate the geometry. Using the file import function is different...

Are your geometry files in a (Geometry folder) in your runtime?

Yes. The files are all stored in Poser7 library style.

did they say whether c6.2 can reference the poser 7 default folder, or does it still hafta
reference either poser 5 or poser 6 in order to use transposer? (given that they wouldn't
sell the poser 7 SDK to daz).

Hi, I also want to try transposer, but it won't work because I am using poser pro nowadays. I still have poser 6 on my puter but even if I point cararra import to that, the file doesn't import. No error message, just nothing comes into my carrara scene unless I use native.
I don't like native. It is slow and the clothes all come in in zero pose and I have to conform each item in carrara one by one.
Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

When I go file>import>(my scene) to bring in my poser scene, it works fine, without losing conformations. There may be an issue between compressed and uncompressed poser files??
