I'm working on some materials for clothing for the moonbase suits from the old TV series UFO. See also in the freebies thread.

I have build some good materials to simulate the plain silver as also the rippled fabrics.
As shown in the original image part in the middle the body suit has some lace or clamped association or so along the outer leg sides.

My question now, is it possible to do such thing only using procedural shader's ??

I have not found how to trigger the correct position only using math nodes or such thingies.
So I have included the bodysuit's (in this example it's build up using V4 bodysuit) uv-map to simulate something at the leg side. But using the uv-map gives me only 20-50 pixels so it's to less to get something really detailed (might be only for my texturing skills  ).
And that this small region must be used for some displacement, naturally according to the rest of the cloth displacement, makes thing's not easier.

Thanks in advance for giving some idea's or advice
