Has anyone purchased the nature/landscape environments at DAZ?  They appear to contain objects like trees, grass, flowers, etc.  About $20 each.  Just wondering how will they work or if they are too poly-heavy for my little computer -  emac 1.25gig, 1 gig ram.  I've been busy painting old-school instead of working on the computer for the last year.

Here's an old image I eventually painted - think I might have posted before.

I have purchased several of Howie Farks' scenes. I have not dug too deeply into them, but a simple open and render gives a delightful amazing naature scene. Recommended.

I think your machine might be a little bit too low spec for these scenes. It might work, but boy would it take a long to render...

I've known people to render Country Lane on a 1.4GHz Powerbook so you -might- get away with it. I would suggest 2GB of Ram and 2 cores (or 3GHz single core) to comfortably render any of the Harpwood County scenes.

Cheers,

thank you Martin,
are the models in your scenes all from Carrara presents or did you build the trees, grass, flowers, etc. ?

I really want to try one - beautiful scenes by the way.
