Just a  tip when you load a character in Carrara the figure comes with locked joints make sure you make a .car with the figurine already unlocked so when you load it is unlocked.  Is there is a faster way to unlocked a figure than going joint by joint I like to know.

also I like to know how to incorporate BVH files on carrara the right way.  I ported a BVH on Aiko but only a small figure came out at the feets.

Regards,

Mizaki Tanaka

I have not found a way yet, except joint-by-joint.
Also, using commercial pose presets seems to reset some of the constraints.

Hi
I think you have to select the hip of the figure to attatch
the BVH to. I have seen this in the DAZ Studio Carrara Forum.

I see something in the spec's for C7 (releasing "soon") that looks like they are putting some sort of new joint unlocking feature into it. If I read it correctly, there will be a button that unlocks joints. I look forward to checking it out.

cute avatar, mizaki-chan.
search this forum for how to apply imported bvh file to poser figure.
I've found it works alot better to attach bvh skeleton to imported, unrigged poser obj file,
but apparently nobody else here has been able to do that, either.

it's like mark ssays:  animation can be very difficult.  steep learning curve.

Thanks for the complement Miss Nancy, that picture of me was taken in Harajuku the tourist was kind enough to send me a copy of the pic by email.  It makes my avatar.

Everyone, thanks for your tips I manage to apply the BVH files by placing it at the hips, and I manage to save a aiko.car completely unlocked,
