Okay I have a scene where I have the troll and the freak in a ring.  I made it in poser and saved it.

When I import it into Carrara it imports perfectly except it doesnt import the freak.  It does import his hat and his hat moves in time to his body (if it had been visible) and I dont have his body just some lines.  The freak does show up in both the right and left columns with his bodyparts which are not visible.

So I went back to poser and opened the scene and he is visible in that scene.

Any ideas and thank you.

I used to get that with Poser objects which have a preview shading zone.  Try bringing the figure  into the texture room in Carrara and see if it has a preview zone.  If it does, try changing it to a simple color like red or black and see if he is visible.  Incidentally, when you just bring the actors and scene elements into Carrara from the content tab instead of importing it, then if you create the scene on Carrara, this no longer happens.  No idea why.  This is one of the main reasons I don't use Poser anymore unless I absolutely have to.
