Subject: motion capture causes "character float"

Hello

I imported a motion capture into Carrara for a figure.  The figure is slowly standing up but he ends up flloating way up in the air.

What I have been doing is advancing one frame, pulling him down then keyframing that frame.

Is there an easier way to do it?  Is there some way to grab a bunch of frames at once to pull him down and then apply keyframe to all those frames or am I stuck doing it frame by frame?

Thank you.

In Poser you select the entire body Y transform curve and pull it down until the character is at a correct distance from the floor, really easy to do. I guess the same applies to Carrara. Maybe a person more familiar with Carrara can answer.

I have a similar thing happen when moving objects in the replicator. There, I move the hot point until the figure "acts right". So, perhaps moving the figure's hot point downward before animating would help?

jack, try what sue sez, and let us know. perhaps ya can post a link to the bvh file in question,
in case what sue sez doesn't work.  however, what simon sez is also applicable, as it's unlikely
any of the commonly available bvh files  has got a key-framed body element.

Okay will try both and characters also slide around...bvh doesnt seem to make things easier.
