I'm fairly new to using C6Pro, and I love it. After following a few tutorials, I am able to create better looking scenes than in Poser. I have a scene I want to render, but V4 is heavily morphed, and I am using a dynamic dress on her. I obviously set up the cloth simulation in Poser and can do things there, but how do I use dynamic clothes in C6 Pro? I have seen tutorials about TransPoser, but it appears to be for earlier versions of Carrara. Am I missing something here?
Thanks, -Starkdog

hey Starkdog,
Unfortunat there is no direct method of using dynamics in Carrara. I understand it may be added in the future (also added to DAZ Studio) but that's all just runor so far.. About the best suggestion I have is to run the dynamics in Poser then save of the Poser figure and the dynamic clothing in the finalized pose as objects, then import and use the objects to set up your scene.
I'm no transposer expert since I use Carrara pimarily as a modeller, but I don;t believe you could directly import dynamic clothing even with it. Of course if I'm wrong someone will jump in a correct me.

Just set up the figure in Poser and run the animation for the dynamic clothes then save the scene as usual asa PZ3 file. Open C6 Pro and import the PZ3 with transposer. It will come in with the complete animation ready to render. Once it's in it is best to delete the Poser ground plane and lights and set them up in Carrara.

There are a few threads on using dynamic cloth over at the DAZ carrara forum. You can save the cloth as a pose in the P7 library. I am still getting up to speed on that myself.
As to a morphed V4: no problem, so long as you have her saved in your P7 figures library as a "full body morph" independent character, she will load up fine in C6.
After getting my morphed V4 into C6 and fixing the textures, I loaded her into "my objects" in the C6 browser. From there, no need to save any scenes, just drag and drop the character.

If you don't want to use Transposer, one of the links mentioned a method for Dynamic cloth that I use all the time now.
After you run the simulation in the cloth room in Poser, select the dynamic cloth you used and 'spawn a morph target'. I usually give it the name of the frame number I'm in. Then, set the dynamics of the cloth to 0 and the morph you just created to 1 and save the file.
Then when you open the .pz3 file in Carrara (using the native importer), you can just morph the dynamic cloth to fit your figure.
I personally love this method since Transposer usually (at least for me) makes the .car file difficult to work with.
Hope this helps.
